Plugins make Elisa better! The philosophy behind Elisa is to build a modular media center that you can extend just by writing a plugin for it, and sharing it with the whole community.
You can install plugins by downloading and dropping them on the Elisa screen, but please have read at the specific plugin section to search for additional instructions.
This simple Flickr plugin allows you to browse and watch photos from Flickr.com - http://www.flickr.com - website. You can browse photos by tags, watch photos in cover flow mode or play as slideshows. It is built using the openAPI provided by Yahoo!. A new, fully featured version is on its way, and will be released with Elisa 0.5.

Dailymotion - http://www.dailymotion.com - is a high quality video hosting website. This plugin allows you to browse and watch the videos by predefined categories (top rated, most viewed, featured), including your favorite ones if you specify your account's data into the Elisa configuration file.
After installation you will need to activate the plugin: open the file
"elisa.conf" contained into the ".elisa" directory (into
your home directory) and add
"dailymotion:dailymotion_media"to the list of
specified media_providers.

Shoutcast - http://www.shoutcast.com - is a free internet radio streaming service. It allows anybody to setup and/or tune-in to a free online radiostation on the website, powered by AOL. With this plugin you can listen for free to any of the many thousand of internet radio stations they have online, categorized per Genre. This plugin is build using the API provided by Nullsoft.

The Picasa plugin allows you to browse your pictures hosted on Google's PicasaWeb gallery. In order to get the plugin working, you need a recent version of the python-gdata module and your Google account credentials into the Elisa configuration file.
After installation you will need to activate the plugin: open the file

your home directory) and add "picasa:picasa_media" to the list of
specified media_providers.
